For many years the polishing resistance of diverse road surfaces has been analysed with testing systems according Wehner/ Schulze to receive information about the development of skid resistance over the years.
In addition the special measurement device ELApws allows the determination of the texture depth of the cores coming from these testing systems (diameter 225 mm) with the proven ELAtextur technology.
The rotating laser sensor scans the texture depth on a line with a radius of 90 mm (center of the polishing track) with high resolution. The integrated Mini-PC controls the device. Its software determines the MPD value (Mean Profile Depth) in accordance with EN ISO 13473-1:2004 based on a part-circle segment of the texture and the ETD value after every measurement and shows them on the display of the measurement device.
Additionally the measurement results can be transferred to an USB stick. The specially developed evaluation software provides a presentation of the measurement results in test protocols at the work station.
In the transportation case there is also a calibration plate, which allows the performance of calibration measurements at any time and thus enhances the measurement safety.
