From 29th May to 2nd June 2017 the „1st European Pavement Friction Workshop“ took place at the facilities of IFSTTAR (Institut Francais des Sciences et Technologies des Transports, de l’Amenagement et des Reseaux) in Bouguenais near Nantes/ France.

The exchange of experiences amongst the participants from North America and Europe was the purpose of the two-day scientific conference. The presentation of the measurement systems provided an overview about the current measurement technology in the fields of „Skid Resistance“ and „Texture“. At the same time more than 25 measurement systems had performed comprehensive comparison measurements.

IWS Messtechnik GmbH participated with one SKM measurement vehicle and two texture measurement devices ELAtextur in these comparison measurements.
