For many years, the polishing resistance of a wide range of road surfaces has been analysed with testing systems according Wehner/ Schulze to obtain information about the change in skid resistance over time.
The special measurement device ELApws, now also allows for the determination of the texture depth of the cores of the PWS testing system (diameter 225 mm), using the proven ELAtextur technology.
The rotating laser sensor scans the texture depth on a line with a radius of 90 mm (center of the polishing track) with high resolution.
The integrated Mini-PC controls the device. Its software determines the MPD value (Mean Profile Depth) in accordance with EN ISO 13473-1:2004 based on a partial-circle segment of the texture, as well as the ETD (Estimated Texture Depth) value, after every measurement and shows them on the display of the measurement device.
The measurement results can also be transferred to a USB stick. The specially developed evaluation software allows the measurement results to be presented in the form of a test report, created at the workstation.
The transportation case includes a calibration plate, which allows calibration measurements at any time and thus enhances confidence in the measurements.
